Clay Clarkson

Clay Clarkson
Clay is a self-described creativator. By no fault of his own, he is driven to create and innovate, most at home in a world of ideas, imagination, thinking, and intuition. After seminary and several unimaginative church jobs, and finding no one hiring creativators, he hired himself. He and Sally conceived and started Whole Heart Ministries (wholeheart.org) in 1994 to help Christian parents. Now, among other duties, he writes, designs, and publishes in-print and online books and resources about parenting and other topics. When not being CEO and CCO of Whole Heart, he is a singer-songwriter acoustic guitarist, collector of public domain Christian books, conceiver of children’s books, app and game imaginer, and wannabe digital photographer. Clay has four grown-up children, all genetically intuitive and thus imaginatively underemployed. He listens to Indie Christian acoustic artists (see: Rabbit Room), reads whatever catches his imagination, and indulges in TV mysteries and courtroom dramas. He is unapologetically intolerant of wind chimes, perfumes, Apple zealots, and unwanted phone calls. His books include Educating the WholeHearted Child, Heartfelt Discipline, and Our 24 Family Ways. His music may one day be available on his blog PiecesofClay.com. He takes strange pride that this bio is precisely 200 words.
